Details About The Program:

The Doctoral “Boot Camp” course is an 8 or 12-week intensive research, writing and editing, LIVE virtual platform-based mentorship program designed specifically for doctoral candidates pursuing a Ph.D. or academic doctorate. The course is applicable to any academic doctoral candidate within any discipline or topic under investigation. A student may register during ANY period (i.e., 1st – 8th year) AND stage (i.e., proposal, premise, prospectus, IRB, URR) of the review process.

 

 

Program Schedule:

The course is 8 or 12-weeks and is held twice a week (Wednesday & Saturday) with an option to sign up for a 1:1 tutoring workshop with a Scholar Team member to discuss specific questions regarding your study. The course is divided into two groups: a) Qualitative Group and b) Quantitative Group.

 

•     Wednesday (APA/Writing Seminar – Qualitative & Quantitative Group Combines) 7:00 – 8:00 PM/EST

•     Saturday (1: 1 Writing Instruction Workshop) 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM/ESt (Optional/By appointment only)

•     Saturday (Qualitative Research Group) 6:00 – 7:00 PM/EST

•     Saturday (Quantitative Research Group) 7:00 – 8:00 PM/EST

 

 

Program Curriculum:

 

The curriculum is designed to meet the researchers’ research, social, and writing needs to equip the candidate with proven tools to move the candidate through the doctoral process successfully.

The curriculum will cover topics such as:

 

•     APA Style Writing Skills (Tips to master the entire APA Manual in 8 or 12-weeks).

•     Research Design & Strategies of Inquiry.

•     How to Write a Dissertation (You will examine each section of the dissertation in detail – including the Literature Review & establishing a Theoretical/Conceptual Framework).

•     Research Skills (Interviewing, Surveys, Questionnaires, Observations, Using Secondary Data, Thematic Coding, Qualitative.

• Management/Analysis Software – NVivo, ATLAS.ti, ANOVA, T-test, Multiple & Logistics Regression).
